Or they may pick one that will "express a Christian mystery or Christian virtue." But "parents, sponsors, and the pastor are to see that a name is not given which is foreign to Christian sentiment." For example, "Grace" or "Joy" would be acceptable, "Slasher" or "Greed" would not.
